Today I didn’t just get a tattoo - I got a permanent reminder. This lyric is handwritten by Lewis Watson, somebody who has given me many unique opportunities and has also given me courage. In 2012, I sucked up my minimal confidence and sang in front of a crowd with Lewis. Now I didn’t sing well, but that’s not what mattered - the point is that I didn’t doubt myself and reject an opportunity like I normally would, I took it. This tattoo isn’t just about this one occasion but for everything that has come after it. My confidence grew and I accomplished so many things in the last 2 years since that day - I found incredible friends, I got myself not one job but TWO, I continued to post both music and makeup videos to YouTube and accumulated over 200,000 views and most importantly I’ve come out of my shell and become comfortable with my personality and I think it’s really starting to show with the way I carry myself everyday. However I still have weaknesses, and self-doubt is something I have been fighting my whole life and probably always will. It’s okay to have weaknesses - it’s not okay to let them control you. So here it is. My permanent reminder not to let doubt ever have its day. This isn’t just a Lewis Watson tattoo. It’s a tattoo for me.
